Are You a Busy Hedonist?

Are you a Busy Hedonist? You love to eat out, but don’t always know where to go. You’ve read about various chefs but can’t figure out which ones are worth the hype. You enjoy cooking and entertaining but can’t always find good recipes. Well stop by The Busy Hedonist who understands that we’re all busy, so busy that sometimes we settle for less. We order take-out night after night (how depressing). Or visit the usual restaurants. Or we make the same old standard meals (how boring). We shop for the same things and don’t stray from the path of practicality. These days, people have other worries than what they’re going to have for lunch or dinner. Our lives might be chaotic, but we still want to enjoy a good meal.

I believe food is fun, pleasurable—a way not only to escape but to engage, too: it’s nourishment and enjoyment at the same time. There is no need to compromise. But if you feel you don’t have time to wade through cookbooks, recipes, restaurants, or what chef so-and-so is doing in order to find a great meal, I am here to help. I eat out frequently, at new hotspots and old standbys. I’ll tell you about the best dishes at the best restaurants (no need to waste money on mediocrity) and what newfangled or classic dishes chefs are creating that you must try. I will offer the most appealing (and not time-consuming) recipes for you to make. I believe in using the freshest and best ingredients I can find: I am the type of person to try eight different sea salts, six different types of butter, 10 different olive oils and a variety of vinegars before I come up with ones I like, so I will guide you on what to buy and where to buy it. The Busy Hedonist is here to help you eat well…and enjoy life.
