About Tracey Ceurvels

S&Tcentralpark

Tracey Ceurvels loves all kinds of food, from fried clams and lobster rolls at her favorite New England clam shack to beef cheek ravioli at Babbo, from 5-for-$1 pork dumplings in Chinatown to the tasting menu at Gramercy Tavern. She’s eaten freshly-made mozzarella in Rome, roadside porchetta in Spoleto, an unforgettable fish stew in Venice. She’s eaten her way around France, slurped noodles in Japan and enjoyed beachside fish tacos in Belize. Yet still, she always enjoys returning to New York, her favorite food city.

Tracey worked at several top Boston and NYC restaurants and hung up her apron over 10 years ago to use her journalism degree and love of food to write about her favorite topic: eating well. Tracey’s articles have appeared in many publications, including The Boston Globe, The New York Times City Section, The New York Daily News, The New York Sun, Relish, Time Out, Citysearch.com, Papermag.com and Pastry Art & Design, among others.

She is currently a weekly fine dining writer for Hauteliving.com, a restaurant reviewer for Papermag.com and a contributing writer to The Gourmet Blog at Dean & Deluca’s web site. In addition, she has worked as a copywriter at many magazines, including Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, Self, More, House & Garden and several others. When she’s not cooking, eating out or chasing her toddler around, Tracey is writing a cookbook and her second novel (while her first, Pandora’s Secret Cookbook is going to be shopped around soon by her wonderful agent, Jocelyn). She has twice been awarded artist fellowships in fiction from The Ragdale Foundation. Tracey lives in downtown Manhattan with her husband and daughter.
